We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to find what they need on this website and to enjoy a meal at Yumiyaki.

1. Our commitment and the standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most commonly referenced by U.S. accessibility guidance. This is a goal we are working toward across the site rather than a guarantee that every page meets every criterion today.

2. What we have done

  • Images that carry information have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • The full menu, with every set, item and price, is on the Menu page as text, not only as images or PDFs.
  • Pages use headings and landmarks in order, declare their language, and start with a “Skip to content” link for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Links, buttons, the mobile menu and the questions on the FAQ page can be used with a keyboard, and the browser’s focus outline is kept visible.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the site’s animations are turned off.
  • Videos on the site are decorative, have no sound and carry no information that is not also given in text.

3. Known limitations

  • The downloadable PDF menus, especially the picture menu, may not read well with a screen reader. The same information is on the Menu page as text.
  • The embedded Google Map on the Visit page is provided by Google. The address, hours and directions links are also given as text beside it.

4. Third-party services

Reservations are made through Yelp, and the site links to Instagram, Google Maps and Apple Maps. Their accessibility is managed by those companies. If one of them gets in your way, call us at (747) 297-2500 and we will take your reservation by phone.

5. At the restaurant

If there is anything that would make your visit easier — seating, help with the menu, or questions about allergens — please tell our staff or call us before you come, and we will do our best to help.

6. Feedback and assistance

If you meet a barrier on this site, or would like information in another format, please let us know. We will work with you to get you the information and to fix the underlying problem.
